Asda Homeware Wishlist

Hi, hope you had a lovely weekend. I've been wrapped up trying to get over this cold. It's not so bad as the weekend was spent doing loads of reading, enjoying baths and browsing the home ware sections online. While browsing I came across some really nice pieces on the Asda website, it's one place I've never thought to look at before. I mainly shop at Aldi or Morrisons just because they are the closest food shops where I live, so I forgot that supermarkets do good home ware selections.

ASDA HOMEWARE WISHLIST AUTUMN/WINTER 2015

Terrarium £10 | Knitted Pouffe £39 | Arrow Light £30 | Potpourri £4
Constellation Coasters £4 | Checked Throw £10 | Cushion £4

I've picked items with the season in mind and some pieces because they are on trend and I really like them. Terrariums are all over the place at the moment so this one is quite a bargain from what I've seen. They are great to plant up a succulent or you can fill them with fairy lights for a cute lamp.

I've picked orange tones for the throw and cushion which makes me imagine nights wrapped up in front of an open fire, I can dream right? I'm all for bringing the outdoors in at this time of year, so I've picked the potpourri which is orange and cinnamon scented which sounds so good. I'd put this on a display plate with a few pillar candles or use them to maybe make a festive wreath.

I'm really liking these knitted pouffes, they're a great way to add an extra texture into a room and an extra seating option for when you've got extra people round. The arrow lamp is a nice quirky piece that would be really cool to have sat on a shelf. Lastly are the constellation coasters, I've picked these because I think stars are pretty and I like the graphic look of the design with the harsh black.

What's your must have piece of home ware for this time of year?

Monochrome Homeware Wishlist

Hi, hope you are having a lovely week. I'm really happy that I'm keeping up to posting every other day, I'm hoping I can keep it up. Recently I've been spending way to much time looking at homeware, even though I know I can't buy anything yet, but maybe you can. I decided to share the lovely things I've found on the internet with you. I can not wait to be able to start buying homeware, but I need to work on the house bit first.

Wilkinson: Love Sign £15.00 | Ampersand £5.00
Ikea: Ornate Frame £25.00 | Lantern £7.00 | Clock £4.50
H&M: T-Light £1.99 | Sequin Cushion £12.99 | Slogan Cushion £3.99
Paperchase: Frame £12

I want a mainly monochrome theme with a pop of colour that I can rotate around the house to keep things fresh. The easiest way to do this is to buy coloured soft furnishings and small trinkets such as candles. I'm not normally a fan of slogans but the 'Have a nice day' cushion would really brighten my mornings. I'm a magpie and can't resist anything silver so that's why I've pick the highly unpractical sequin cushion, 'It's so shiny!'. The ornate Ikea frame is something I dread them discontinuing so badly, I've wanted this item forever, as in years and years, I'm so shocked they still sell it. Ampersand's are a really pretty looking form and makes a really nice sculptural piece.

What is your favourite piece? Seen anything nice lately?

Homeware Haul #1 | Ikea

Hi a little haul of Ikea lovelies to share with you today. I love buying home ware items, I currently live at home with the parent saving for a mortgage. I want a place I can make my own really badly, needs to happen sooner than later as I have zero storage space for all the things I can't resist buying.

Bowl Teacup £2.00/2pc | Loose Tea Infuser £1.70

Firstly if you haven't signed up to be an Ikea Family Member do it now! It gets you discounts on selected items, discounts in the restaurant and damage insurance when transporting your goods home.
They also give you a welcome voucher for one packs of 100 Glimma T-lights (I love a good freebie).

Anyway so I went to Ikea early January with my voucher in hand and went to see if there where any sale goodies to be had. I didn't find that much reduced but I did get some super pretty Teacups, they where reduced from £6 to £2 for a pair. I also bought a tea infuser to use with the teacups when I get some loose green tea to try. Candles are a must when visiting Ikea and I found these amazing purple pot ones (Chevrons!!!), I also picked up an orange one as I had already selected the super cheap orange bedding for my room. Continuing the orange theme I picked up some patterned tins for storing odds and ends. I bought the jar to store cotton pads in and the rug fits perfectly in the small area of floor space I have in my room.

There is a definite orange theme. Have you bought anything nice in Ikea recently?
