Goodreads Giveaways

Hi, Did you know that Goodreads is a platform for authors and publishers to host giveaways to promote books, I didn't until recently. I wanted to share that little bit of knowledge and show you how lucky I have recently been.

Goodreads Giveaways Winner Momentarily Dreaming

Up until a few weeks ago I didn't know that I could get free books just by showing my interest in a giveaway on Goodreads and I may have gone a little crazy. I've counted how many giveaways I've entered so far and it's more than fifty but my selection of giveaways has paid off and I've won three lovely new books to read. It's all down to luck on how many copies are available and how many people request. So far I think I've been really lucky and I'm so happy to have won something as I never win anything, so three book in the time frame it crazy. These are the books that have joined my to read pile.

The Fire Sermon, Beloved Poison, The Glittering Art of Falling Apart

The Fire Sermon - Francesca Haig

A Dystopian Young Adult novel featuring a time when everyone is born with a twin. The world had been blighted with radiation and this seems to be the side effect the human race has to bare. The twins are always born with one an Alpha (perfect in every way) and the other an Omega (deformed either physically or mentally). The twins are separated at birth and brought up in very different ways, the only thing that the twins will share is their death.

Beloved Poison -

This is a book I choose because it's a genre I need to embrace more. A strange discovery is made within the chapel of an old hospital awaiting demolition. A mystery that leads to a search for answers which might be too dangerous to know. I'm looking forward to knowing a little bit more about this book and the true meaning behind the blurb.

The Glittering Art of Falling Apart -

This book is about two different people from two different times who are joined together by a diary. That's about all the blurb gives away but sometimes it's nice to pick up a book and see where it takes you. The book is split between two points of view which is a writing style I really enjoy, so looking forward to reading this one.

  5. Cool post Sam! I visit Goodreads often but didn’t previously know much about competitions on there. You have done so well with receiving three books, and they all sounds really interesting in their own way. I love Ilana Fox as an author, The Making of Mia is a personal favourite. I didn’t realise she had released a new novel, but definitely sounds worth picking up! :-) xx
