Lush Review | Dragon Egg Bath Bomb

Hi, Today I've got another Lush review to share. Dragon Egg is actually a product I've used before but always while staying away so I've never had the chance to review it before. I was super excited to try this product again because I remember enjoying it so much plus I really wanted to review it. This bath bomb is one of my boyfriends favorites, I think it's because it's one of the more masculine bombs, in theme anyway.

Dragon Egg Bath Bomb - Feel Ready to Soar 

Originally in my eyes Dragon Egg didn't look all that special but don't let looks deceive you. The first time I picked up this product the super friendly sales assistant asked the Boyfriend what he was looking for and she suggested this bomb. It's a very pale bomb with a few flashes of colour in the form of confetti on first view. I think that's what I love about this bath bomb, it's the surprise of just how exciting it really is once it's in the tub doing it's thing.

Dragon Egg contains popping candy and hidden gold glitter luster which erupts from the center of the bomb. Along with the multi coloured confetti, it really is a showy bath bomb. At only £3.50 I think it is a great product for the wow factor. The scent of the bomb is very much like lemon sherbet created by all the citrus oils accompanied by Jasmine extract. The water turns a lovely orange filled with the sparkle of the glitter lustre, it's a perfect representation of a dragons hoard of gold.

If you want a bomb that gives a good show them this is one to try. The gold luster is easily washed out of the bath after use but the glitter does tend to hang around on the skin for a while after. My boyfriend had a glittery beard after using Dragon Egg which made me laugh so much.

Lush Review | Honey Bee Bath Bomb

Hi, I popped into my local Lush the other day with the intention of picking up some long standing Lush products that I've previously over looked with the intention of reviewing them. One of the products I picked up was the Honey Bee bath bomb.

Honey Bee Bath Bomb - Take the Sting Out

At £3.50 this is one of the cheaper bath bombs in the Lush range, it contains a mixture of Honey, Aloe Vera and Rhassoul mud to create a wonder trio of calming and antiseptic properties. The aesthetic of the bomb is pleasing as I can picture a little face on this and it would look just like a bee with the clever use of strips of colour. The scent of Honey Bee is sweet and fresh, I was thinking of food when I sniffed it and realised that was the honey I could smell.

The water turns to a shade of amber reminiscent of honey as the bomb slowly dissolves. Honey Bee took ages to disappear completely and on inspection there where weird little lumps within the bomb which I can only think was how they incorporate the clay into the mix. Honey Bee was surprisingly softening on my skin which I think was down to the added clay.

The scent seems to get stronger once added to the water and lingers for a long time. The overall appearance of the Honey Bee bath bomb in use isn't that amazing, there is some fizzing but that's your lot. The colour is questionable but what I expected from the colour of the bath bomb itself. The clay residue required cleaning from the bath afterwards which was something I wasn't expecting. I enjoyed Honey Bee but I don't think it will be a regular purchase.

Beauty Review | The Body Shop Coconut Range

Hi, Today I wanted to share a little beauty review with you. I'm talking about the coconut range of products from the Body Shop.

To start with I wanted to round off the collection with the scent. Coconut is one of my favourite scents for bath/body products and is such a versatile scent complementing any time of year. I have four products from the range to review. The body products contain community Fair Trade virgin organic coconut oil and the spray contains fair trade sugarcane essence.

Body Butter | 200ml - £14.00

The Body Shop body butters are some of the best on the market, they are super moisturizing with a really thick consistency, which sinks into the skin really quickly and leaves it super soft and smelling of coconut for a reasonable amount of time.

Body Scrub | 200ml - £13.00

I love an exfoliating scrub, and this is a really good one. I'm trying to remove all products that use micro beads from my routine and this is a great alternative. The exfoliating material is coconut husks and ground coconut shells.

Shower Cream | 250ml - £4.00

The coconut range has a cream rather than gel but it's essentially the same thing. I use a bath lily to lather up the cream and tiny bit goes a long way and a bottle can easily last me a couple of months. It smells lovely as do all the products from this range.

Body Mist | 100ml - £7.50

I like to use this product as a room mist for a light and fresh boost to the room. The staying power of the scent isn't amazing but it is a lovely product to apply in the morning for an invigorating boost.

Some of the Body Shop products are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. They are a cruelty free British brand and source as many ingredients as possible from fair trade organizations. The Body Shop are great for promotions and special offers so it's very unlikely you'll pay full price anyway.

My Morning Routine

Hi, I find mornings hard work, I don't even get up that early with my alarm going off at 7am. I do not deal well with been woken from my sleep. Here is my daily morning routine and the products I use, to try and make my mornings as good as they possibly can be.

My Morning Routine

I have a snooze on my alarm as who can face not even having a ten minuet lying, I try to wake up at this point and have a quick look on Bloglovin and other social media platforms before dragging myself out of bed. After my second alarm I head for the shower.

I wash my hair every day, my hair might suffer as a result but its helped my skin with excess oils, so I wouldn't dream of not doing it. I use the Herbal Essence Naked Shampoo and Conditioner in the Moisture formula with extracts of mint. I leave the conditioner on my hair until the last minuet before I'm getting out of the shower.

I use a bath lily (I had to look what these where called) and currently the body shop peach shower gel for a good morning clean. I like a shower gel with a really awakening scent, I find citrus blends work best. If I need to shave I use the Gillette Venus Oceana Disposable Razors, they last so long and you can pick them up really cheaply if you shop around.

After I've showered I use my Body Shop wide tooth comb to comb my hair, after I have towel dried it. I then apply argon oil to the ends before blow drying and straightening.

Once my hair is sorted I moisturise my face and neck with the Olay complete care fluid which has SPF 15. I apply Nivea Essential care lip balm, to keep my lips super hydrated. I then apply deodorant, I currently use the Sure invisible aqua. I have recently started using a gradual tanning lotion to moisturise my body with the added benefit of a summer glow.

I then get dressed, if it's a work day I'll be wearing my uniform. If it's a weekend I'll normally either stick on one of my more casual hanging around the house outfits, or I'll put together something nicer if I have plans for the day. Makeup wise it is very rare that I wear any, I don't see the point at work as it's only a warehouse and I don't deal with customers. At the weekend if I have something planned I'll put some blusher on.

I'll grab a glass of water as soon as I can as I'm always super thirsty in a morning. I have yoghurt, berries and granola for breakfast with a cup of green tea.

Lush Review | Space Girl Bath Bomb

Hi, Today I've got a little review of the Lush Space Girl bath bomb or should I say a moan that this will be my last ever Space Girl (sad times). This is one of my all time favorite lush products. One of the cheaper bath bombs, a little bit smaller but no less amazing. I think it was about £2.50 (maybe less) which for one bath is quite expensive but okay if I really want to treat myself. This is a bath bomb that doesn't come packed with added essential oils, it's all about fun and the show element of a bath bomb.

Shaped like a space ship you launch it into a filled bath and watch it spin and create a red and purple colour show. The thing I like most about this bath bomb is the small amount of glitter hidden within which just gives a shimmer to the water. The water will turn a lovely deep pinky purple and smells really subtly of a fruity blackcurrant scent. The bath bomb contains bergamot, grapefruit and almond oils.

Sadly Lush has decided to discontinue this bath bomb along with a few other products to make way for products to be released nationwide from the exclusive collection at the Oxford street store. I have mixed feelings of loss for a favorite but excitement for the new offerings that will be released. So if you fancy trying this bath bomb grab one while you can, it has already disappeared from the Lush website so good luck.

Freebie #1 | L'Occitane a little sunshine from provence

Hi, I've got a freebie I want to share with you today. The other day I got an email which instantly had my attention, it was an invitation to try some L'Occitane products totally free. I filled out the required details, got an email voucher and went and collected my little box of treats from L'Occitane, you can claim one by applying here, the offer is on until May 31st or while stocks last. The only catch is you have to pick it up from a boutique store, department stores are not included. This is kind of a post about how you don't have to wait around for people to sent you samples, you can look for them yourself and sometimes like this one they are really good.

On arrival to the store we where welcomed and offered a cup of liquorish tea to drink while we browsed. The free samples came beautifully packaged in a little box which contained 5 miniature products, a £10 off voucher when you spend £25, a lavender planting paper and information on the history of Provence. The free sample was lovingly packaged up in a store bag with tissue paper and a spritz of perfume, even though it was a free sample we still got the full L'Occitane customer service.

I believe that the hand creams are different in every box based on stock levels in store. This is one of the best freebies I have got to date and I can't wait to try them out. They are the perfect size for keeping for travel essentials. I've already tried the hand cream and would highly recommend it.

Lush Review | Brightside Bubble Bar

Hi, today I wanted to talk about my favourite Lush product the Brightside bubble bar. This is my go too product if I need a Lush fix. At £4.75 its not the cheapest product in Lush but it can easily be used in four baths, that's less than £1.20 per bath, cheaper than most of the one use bath bombs. I would actually recommend only using a quarter of this product, the bath water is such a bright orange and the essential oil payoff is more than enough, but if you like a really bubbly bath you might want to use more.

I love this product so much because of the colour vibrancy and the fresh citrus scent is a real pick me up. Who doesn't love a bubble bath. After soaking in a Brightside bath my skin always feels so soft and because this product doesn't contain any glitter its not super messy to clean up after. To use Brightside simply break off a quarter of the product and crumble under a running tap.
